The best way to improve your presentation ability is to get into a public speaking workshop. You'll work in front of other people, you'll see yourself on video tape, you'll get loads of very precise feedback and you'll be able to see real change.
Jack E. Rossin's effective presentation skills workshops have limited enrollment because the fewer people in a workshop, the more experiences each person has presenting in front of the group.
The presentation skills course & workshops are run for a half day in the morning for (typically) two successive mornings. People start to become less effective in a workshop after about 3 or 4 hours.
The first session focuses on technical aspects of presenting- posture, eye contact, voice, energy, and storytelling. The second day of the workshop gets into content with particular emphasis on how to open your segment of a presentation and how to close and ask for action from the audience.
